Anonymous asked: have you read Scarlett?
if so, would you recommend it?

heartspokesperson asked: Hey dear, Ignorance is present in spirit not in age. People who think are too much above the others in age or studies don't realize they were one day in that position too. So I'm here to say your blog is still amazing with rude/ridiculous opinions about it or not. I love your gifs and everything as much as lots of other fans!
lisafer asked: THANK YOU. So many people in the GWTW fandom hate Rhett Butler's People, and I think that although it has some flaws, it's not as indulgent (and occasionally ludicrous) as Scarlett.
What do you think of The Wind Done Gone, out of curiosity?

comeoutvirginia asked: That anon sucks. This is a quality blog run by a quality person!
keep-your-secrets-close asked: I read Gone With the Wind when i was 7. I completely understood it. So I think the anonymous person is just a bitter person. I love your blog and all the gifs/pictures<3
medvedevs asked: I know a guy who read GWTW in third grade.
Anon's argument is invalid.

Anonymous asked: I wrote one of my English AP test papers on GWTW when I was 18 (and got a 5 on it, I might add!!!) I don't think age has anything to do with the understanding of the such a powerful book. Part of the beauty of literature is that a single work can be interpreted many different ways. Keep it up, I love your blog!!
Anonymous asked: I'm seventeen, have written papers on this book, and love your work! I love your opinions and the gifs you make. The great thing about this book is that you don't need to be a reading elitist to understand and love it. It's for all ages and reading levels and you do a wonderful job! Don't stop! <3
sneezeysneezersons asked: just a head's up to all san francisco fans that GWTW is playing tomorrow night (sunday 7/31) at the castro theater at 2pm and again at 7pm. i'm going and couldn't be more jazzed.
Anonymous asked: you have so much support behind you (: keep going
labyrinthqueen asked: Heh, I love how that anon said that you probably spent “5 seconds” with GWTW when it’s nearly a 4 hour movie. Your blog is divine!
romanticcdaydreams asked: Whoever sent you that anon is seriously ridiculous. You obviously know a lot about GWTW and have a great passion for it. And even if you didn't know a ton, it'd be fine because you obviously love it and never claimed to know everything about it. They must be nuts. You're blog is one of my favorites on tumblr <3 It's fabulous. I wish I could reblog everything =) You're...
faketalesfromtheritz asked: HEY ANON STFU.
This girl does an amazing job.
You don't need to be a certain age to understand a classic novel like GWTW.
I'm 18 and just read it a couple of months ago and absolutely LOVED it. And yes, i went through Scarlett's emotions and i think i undertand her. Anyone who has a real passion for beautiful novels like these can understand.
So, you keep...

lehayed asked: That anon was out of line, and they had no excuse to be an anon since they obviously have a tumblr and followed you at one point. You don't have to have a college degree to like something or to have opinions about it.
I adore this blog and at the end of the day I will still love this blog, even if it isn't as intellectually stimulating as some people would want it to be....

Anonymous asked: Good for you for responding so calmly and intelligently to that last nasty post. I think this is a great blog, thanks for all the effort you put into it!
madeofmolecules asked: Hey,
screw that anon. I have studied GWTW and I agree with your assessment of Scarlett (I have not read Rhett Bulter's People). Some people are just raging assholes and cowards.

tnvanderlaan asked: I enjoy reading your input on the book (and the 'sequels') as well as the gifs and screencaps. I recently just read Gone with the Wind and fell in love with it! I could be a bit biased though, because my mom named me after Tara, and after reading the book, I like my name even more!
Anonymous asked: hey <3
just saying, i love your blog and everything

chanelegance asked: That anon was rude... I respect her opinion but she/he should respect yours. Tumblr is not about studying and being perfect all the time. Its about expression. Do your thang.
mr-woodchuck asked: It's a sad day in the world when simply expressing your opinion and your thoughts on a beloved novel/movie is scoffed at as "waxing intellectual".
You have a right to say what you've said, you have a right to love GWTW no matter how long you've spent with it, you're always polite in agreement or disagreement, and I quite enjoy everything you have to...

theloupgaroux asked: WOAAAH why is that anon hater hating so much?
Just embrace a "GONE WITH THE FUCKS" attitude w/ this blog. People like to hate on shit randomly, and for every one jerk who spews hate there are prob 20 people who read this blog quietly and love it.
<3 <3 <3 lots of admiration from this gwtw fan, and although I am 19 am I still allowed to say I like...

Anonymous asked: I'm unfollowing you because you're a 19 year old who has probably spent about five seconds with Gone with the wind and yet you keep waxing intellectual about it. Have you truly studied it? No. Have you delved deeper into Scarlett? No. Just STFU make some gifs and quit pretending you're an authority on this book, movie and world. You're spitting on MM's grave with your...

– Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
beleanor-deactivated20120723 asked: I read Scarlett as a bad fanfiction. And it kind of was.
fripperiesandfobs asked: I really disliked RBP compared to Scarlett. I felt McCaig's characterization of Rhett was all over the place. In addition, there were many blatant discrepancies between events and details in RBP and in GWTW, as well as in history and even just in logic. Also, I didn't like how so little of the book was actually about Rhett and Scarlett, although I did find some of the background...
circusrose asked: to the last post, i recommend rhett butler's people. i enjoyed the interpretation and male perspective, as well as the ending. also, that book was approved by mitchell's estate, unlike Scarlett (not a huge fan of that one).
Anonymous asked: Did you really like the novel Scarlett? I am skeptical about reading it in fear that it will ruin everything about Gone With the Wind for me
off-of-lovers-leap asked: I like to think that Scarlett fought for Rhett and Rhett made her fight for him for years and they died old and in love and at peace with each other.
incurablydishonest asked: Just wondering, have you read Scarlett or Rhett Butler's People?
carlachacin asked: I love Gwtw, and I certainly love you blog, when I read the book for the first time I was eleven years old, it was my first adult novel, and I hadn't fallen in love yet, and the final looks to me like an awful thing,"how can they not end up together?" now, 10 years later, after reading more than a dozen novels, after fall hopelessly in love, i know that it was the right way to end up...
timhuddlestone asked: I LOVE your blog :D one of my favorites!
Anonymous asked: In your opinion, if Scarlett and Rhett were real and their story happened, do you think Scarlett would have got him back?
