skoharas asked: Your gif of "You should be kissed and often...." just was on my dash with 1,000+ notes, but it was stolen! Your watermark is there and everything, but someone named substitudeforrreligion posted it. It made me very upset. I just thought I'd let you know.
Anonymous asked: Alexandra Ripley wrote Scarlett, not Anne.
alexisrenea7 asked: As i went through my dashboiard i saw an anon ? and it made me wonder... have you ever read Scarlett... or Rhett Butler's people... neither were exclusively written by Margaret Mitchell but it gives some pretty interesting ideas to what may have happened... Ive been obsessed with GWTW forever and your blog is absolutely AmaZZinG! ...
fuckitaltoher-deactivated201209 asked: Re: what happens next: Anne Ripley wrote a sequel to GWTW called Scarlett. I know it got some really bad reviews but I personally liked it. NGL it wasn't as amazing as GWTW, but it wasn't all horrible. I guess it would upset a 'die hard' fan of MM's work, but if you enjoyed the book at face value, and aren't obsessed with the finer details and character...
Anonymous asked: Hi! I just finished reading and watching GWTW and I loved it and I absolutely adore your blog!(: I just wanted to ask you what you think happens at the end of GWTW...how do you think Rhett and Scarlet get back together?

meropegaunts asked: I'm writing my University Dissertation about GWTW (the representation of slavery and civil war america) and everytime I see a post from this blog I think maybe I should be writing it instead of being on tumblr... but luckily I'm not at all sick of the movie and I still really enjoy seeing your posts. just thought I'd let you know you're good motivation for me! =]
laurenge asked: I remember when I was a kid, I would go to my grandmother's house and watch all four hours of Gone With The Wind in one sitting. It was great, and I wished I could have lived in the Civil War era so I could wear all of Scarlett's dresses. Every new years eve, me and my grandmother sit down and watch this film from start to finish while we down bottles of sparkling grape juice. I never...

Anonymous asked: Hi, I was wondering if you had a gif of this scene /post/11665507086 but the part when Scarlett is looking in the mirror and when she sees Rhett she puts the bonnet the wrong way?? ty.. also I love your blog♥♥
thescarlettrose asked: Since everyone has been talking to you about the side characters and Scarlett's other children in GWTW I suppose I might as well throw in my two cents. Book wise, Wade Hampton has to be my second favorite character (after Scarlett of course!) so it disappointed me that he does not appear in the movie, even though I understand time restraints and that he secondary. But if you think about it, I...

awindofsuchviolence asked: They left out the babies and a lot of other characters because the original script was over 2,000 pages long, and would have been impossible to film. Things have to get cut in adaptations, and the most unnecessary characters go first.
thehereticthatmakesthefire asked: We are studying the American Civil War in my U.S. History class and for the break, we have a project to complete. Guess who is writing a movie review for Gone with the Wind? BEST. PROJECT. EVER!!!!!!!! SO EXCITED!
Anonymous asked: you first read the book when you were 12? me too! (actually, i'm still 12!)
Anonymous asked: where I can download the song "Ben Bolt" ? love it

folketymology asked: I guess I have some more to add to this whole "what's left out of the film and whether or not it's better" thing. For such a long book, the film was a pretty faithful adaptation. But the film is extremely Scarlett-centric. It's a story about a girl, whereas the book is about the girl, but it also has a lot of other people's perspectives and history thrown around. So I...
katerinas asked: I'm reading all these comments about not including Wade and Ella in the movie. I read the book first (fell in love with it of course) then watched the movie. And even though I still think those children were unnecessary characters in the book, I think Margaret put them, so Scarlett won't be left completely alone (when Rhett leaves her). And yes, I agree that she did love them in her own...

nowheregirl91 asked: I have to agree with you on the whole not including Wade and Ella in the movie debate. I first watched the film GWTW when I was 9 and instantly fell in love with it. A few years ago, I finally read the novel GWTW and although I also enjoyed it and all the details it provides about Scarlett and her fictional life, I have to say I still liked the film better. This is one of the few examples where I...

classicsdoitbetter asked: i saw that someone asked you why Wade and Ella were not in the movie. i questioned that myself when i first heard that book Scarlett had 2 other kids after seeing the movie for the 1st time but when i watched it a 2nd time i did not mind that they were not in the movie. yes Wade and all the other side characters for that matter give another view of Scarlett but i really like how the movie tidied...

catchyourdreamsbefore asked: Except Scarlett did love Wade. Yes, in an entirely different fashion than Melanie or Rhett, but when does Scarlett ever show her love in a healthy manner? She loved Wade in her own way. I hate when readers and the characters in the book say she's a terrible mother. No, she's not emotionally involved with her kids, but she makes damn well sure that they are fed and healthy and have...

folketymology asked: I agree with you about Wade and Ella in regards to the movie, but Wade was one of my favorite little characters in GWTW. That scene when he's afraid, and you see Scarlett from his point of view is kind of heartbreaking. Mitchell was so skilled at giving those peripheral characters a chance to shine, allowing her readers to really understand them, like with Frank Kennedy and even the Meades.

Anonymous asked: I just have a quick question. Is this a secondary blog? Because how do you answer questions from it without showing who answered it? Like, how does it just say "fuckyeahgwtw" instead of whoever runs the blog and answered it? Does that make sense?

russianmachete asked: I think Scarlett is the perfect heroine. She was smart & stupid at the same time. She was a bad bitch and she got shit done! She loathed in her own personal confusion of the world & why it was the way it was & yet never gave up & didnt care what anyone though of it. I think all women can find a little of themselves in Scarlett, shes someone I think any woman can relate to as we all...
